We, the Parish of St. Joseph of the Palisades,
a culturally diverse community of God's people,
hear the gospel and embrace the cross,
to know and live our Catholic faith;
to strengthen our community in God's love;
to welcome and serve our brothers and sisters
with humility and dignity...
...as, by the grace of God, we become the
Living Stones of Christ's Church on the Palisades.

For over 150 years the Parish of St. Joseph of the Palisades has opened the doors of faith to people of Northern Hudson County. Now we welcome you!
We invite you to come and experience that faith in study, in faith formation and in service to the community.
We invite you to educate your children in our elementary school or our religious education program for children of the public schools.
We invite you to quiet prayer in daily Eucharistic devotion; to participate in and honor the devotions so central to the faith life of our varied ethnic communities; to explore the meaning of a life in faith in all of its stages.
Come be with us at St. Joseph of the Palisades. See the life we live here and that we celebrate. Enjoy imagining your place in our parish as you peruse our site.

Many Parishioners of St. Joseph of the Palisades do not know that our parish has a second church where we celebrate Mass on weekends in both English and Spanish, hear confessions weekly on Saturdays and hold morning Mass three days a week.
It is a large and beautiful space with fine acoustics and a most worthy setting to celebrate the Lord’s presence. And it is never crowded! It is an especially attractive alternative for the 10:00 a.m. English Mass when our Main Church is so filled with children of our catechism program. And the later Mass in Spanish at 12:15 p.m. is a wonderful alternative for those who enjoy a quiet morning at home before Sunday Mass.
The 2021 Annual Appeal has launched!
Your support for the 2021 Annual Appeal funds essential programs and ministries at the heart of our Catholic mission in our four counties: to proclaim the gospel, to pass on the faith to future generations -- particularly through the celebration of the sacraments -- and to care for the poor and those on the margins.
Now more than ever, especially during this health crisis, our ministries and programs need your support. Please visit rcan.org/sharing to make a gift today.
